With good weather upon us, the members of the Potsdam Fire Department have been working on their annual recertification on the various pieces of apparatus the Potsdam Fire Department has to offer not only to our community, but also to surrounding communities.

This month members have been working on Rescue 14, Tanker 100 and Engine 48. Members must show proficiency on where equipment is located on the apparatus, how the equipment on the apparatus works, how to draft from various water sources and how to maintain a consistent water supply with firefighters on the nozzle.

Members must also complete a certain number of driving hours on each piece of apparatus.
