On Sunday May 26th 2019 at 2044 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 7 were dispatched to a reported two car motor vehicle accident on the South Canton Road at the intersection with the Dayton Road. At 2047 hours, Engine 80 (S. Corbett) and Rescue 14 (J. McGregor) responded along with 36-1 and arrived on scene of the accident at 2054 hours.

On scene, firefighters observed that one of the vehicles went off the roadway striking a road sign before coming to a rest on the driver's side. All occupants were able to self extricate before arrival, and no injuries were reported. Firefighters provided traffic control and scene lighting while St. Lawrence County Sheriffs Department conducted the investigation. The two vehicles were removed by Johnson's Towing & Recovery. Potsdam Fire was back in service at 2156 hours.
