At 1428 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 7 were dispatched to a two car head on motor vehicle accident in front of Price Chopper. At the time of call, Engine 49 (R. Crowe) responded, followed shortly by Rescue 14 (M. Maroney), and arrived on scene at 1430 hours.

On scene, firefighters blocked off the scene of the accident, and directed traffic into the Ponderosa Parking Lot and Price Chopper Parking Lot and kept the flow of traffic moving. Also, firefighters cleaned up debris from the roadway and used speedy dry to absorbed fluids. Johnson's Towing responded and removed the vehicles from the roadway. Potsdam Fire was back in service at 1513 hours.
