On August 5th 2019, at 1724 hours, Parishville Fire was advised by 33-1 (E. Cool) of a possible wild land fire off of the Russell Turn Pike Road and County Route 58. Parishville Fire responded and found an active 3.7 acres of land on fire. New York State Forest Rangers responded to the scene to assist with the operation.

At 1758 hours, 33-1 requested Colton Fire to respond with an ATV and manpower and Potsdam Fire to respond with manpower to the scene. At 1806 hours, Potsdam Rescue 30 (C. LaPlante) responded and arrived on scene at 1816 hours. Firefighters began to go to work with Parishville Fire knocking down hot spots and suppressing the fire.

At 1834 hours, 33-1 requested Potsdam Fire to respond with Tanker 100. At 1835 hours, Tanker 100 (J. Keleher) responded and arrived at 1851 hours. Tanker 100 was directed to back down a path into the middle of the wild land fire and to supply the mini pumpers and ATV's with water. At 1900 hours, West Stockholm was requested to respond to the scene. Firefighters worked until Forest Rangers requested all operations to be stopped until the morning due to losing day light. Potsdam Fire was back in service at 2130 hours.
