On August 5th 2019, at 1750 hours, West Potsdam was dispatched to a Ford F-150 Pickup truck on fire in front of 6711 US Highway 11. At 1753 hours, 47-1 (J. Dibble) requested for Potsdam Fire to respond mutual aid due to the bridge being out on County Route 35. At 1754 hours, Potsdam Fire Engine 80 (J. Corbett) responded with a crew and arrived at 1802 hours followed by West Potsdam Fire Engine 119.

Firefighters worked with West Potsdam Fire personnel and stretched a 200' 1 3/4" hand line and began to extinguish the truck fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and overhauled the bed of the truck that had materials on fire.

St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department assisted on scene. Potsdam Fire was back in service at 1834 hours.
