On Tuesday, September 17th 2019 at 0011 hours, Potsdam Fire was requested to respond by Potsdam Police to 102 Main Street for one car motor vehicle accident. At alarm time, Potsdam Fire Engine 49 (R. Pierce) responded and arrived on scene at 0013 hours.

On scene, it was found that a Chevrolet pick-up truck sheered off a National Grid Pole and then continued and struck a tree at the intersection of South Street. Firefighters cut the battery to the truck, removed debris from the roadway, and provided traffic control until National Grid arrived. The incident was investigated by Potsdam Police. Potsdam Fire was back in service at 0107 hours.
