Potsdam Fire was dispatched at 0553 hours to a reported 1 vehicle motor vehicle accident, unknown if personal injury, at the intersection of Pierrepont Avenue and Canton Drive. Engine 49 was enroute immediately and on scene a minute later. Fire Driver Robert Crowe advised that the patient was out of the vehicle and that the vehicle was in the drainage canal. FF/EMT Crowe initiated patient care awaiting the arrival of the Potsdam Rescue Squad. Additional PFD personnel arrived and the patient was prepped for transport. Martin's Wrecker Service removed the truck from the canal. SUNY Potsdam PD handled the accident investigation with assistance from Potsdam PD and SLC Sheriffs.
