At 22:16hrs Potsdam Firefighters were alerted by Central Dispatch of a car into a tree with 1 injured, Main St, Ives Park near the Clarkson Inn. Engine-49 responded with a crew of 2 and arrived to find a car into a tree along the river bank. 1 female occupant was still in the vehicle and the vehicle had substantial front end damage from striking a tree. Engine-49 driver set up scene lighting and stretched a precautionary line while firefighters on the scene assessed the occupant for injuries. The hood was popped and the battery was disconnected. Potsdam firefighters assisted Potsdam Rescue with removing the patient and moving her to the ambulance. The patient was transported to Canton Potsdam Hospital. Potsdam firefighters were out of service for 45 minutes.
