Potsdam firefighters participated in an emergency preparedness fair on Saturday. Members manned a display giving information to the public regarding home fire safety, and related items. Info was given on Amandas Law, which requires a carbon monoxide detector to be installed in every residence in NY State, smoke detectors,and fire extinguisher use and care. Engine 48, manned by Buddy Robar and Jerrid Lavoie, was set up in the parking lot for public viewing. Also participating were the Potsdam Police Dept., Potsdam Rescue, American Red Cross, The Boy Scouts of America, Amateur Radio enthusiasts and others.
