At 1150 hours the Potsdam Fire Dept. was called to Bowman Hall on the SUNY Campus. Engine 49 was enroute immediately, arriving at 1153. Upon arrival, Paid driver Mike Lozipone was advised of fire in the void between walls adjacent to the main electrical vault for the building. He then requested additional resources to the scene. The fire was rapidly controlled with a dry chem and water cans. Minimal water was used due to the proximity of high voltage equipment. The fire was determined to have been caused by sparks from a demo saw being used on renovations to the facility, which ignited insulating material. 11 members responded, all equipment was back in service at 1251 hours.
