| The Potsdam Fire Department regrets to announce the death of James "Jay" Smith. Jay served as a Mutual Aid member with us, as well as being a member of the Madrid VFD, and a past member of the West Potsdam VFD. Jay passed away on Sunday, April 29th, at the age of 42. Calling hours will be held at the Donaldson Funeral Home in Massena, on May 2nd, from 3-7 PM. The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 3rd at St. Andrews Church in Norwood, at 10 AM. Burial with FD Honors to follow. We extend our deepest sympathies to Jay's wife and family. Contributions in Jays memory may be made to the Potsdam Fire Dept. or to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley. |
