As Engine-49 was clearing a call on Grove Street, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue and County Car 7 were alerted of an MVA on US Highway 11 near the Morley-Potsdam Road. Engine-49 went en route immediately and arrived to find a 3 vehicle MVA with the road completely blocked. The crew quickly assessed the scene and found all people involved were out of their vehicles. Only 1 person was slightly injured. Firefighters then focused on controlling the fluids leaking from 2 of the involved vehicles. Speedy Dry and absorbent pads were placed to soak up the fluids. One of the vehicles involved was a delivery truck and it was carrying refrigerated goods. NYS DOT was also on scene and assisted in clearing the roadway of debris.
