At 07:40 the tones went out for West Stockholm fire, Potsdam fire automatic mutual aid for a house fire 19 County Route 57 in Stockholm. Engine-80 went enroute immediately followed by TA-100. Engine-80 arrived and Potsdam firefighters assisted West Stockholm with stretching a line and cooling down a few hot spots. The bulk of the fire had been knock down by a NY State Trooper using a fire extinguisher. The house was ventilated and overhaul was done to check for extension. It is believed the fire was caused by a space heater being operated to close to combustibles. Damage to the living room was extensive with heat and smoke damage throughout the rest of the house.
