On February 14, 2014 at approximately 9:10am, Potsdam Fire Department was activated to respond to US Highway 11, just past Walmart, for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Engine 80 responded shortly after being dispatched.

Upon arrival, Engine 80 crew found one vehicle over the steep embankment by Steve’s RV Center. The owner of the vehicle made it out of the vehicle safely prior to Engine 80s arrival. The driver was sitting in a passer-by's pickup truck waiting for Potsdam Rescue to evaluate them. Potsdam Fire Department assisted with traffic control until the vehicle could be removed from the embankment.

All units were back in service at 10:36am.
