On February 18, 2014 at 1:11pm the Potsdam Fire Department was dispatched to respond on automatic mutual aid to West Stockholm for a report of a house fire at 17 River Street. Engine 80 and Tanker 100 within minutes after being dispatched.

Upon arrival firefighters found what appeared to be a two story wood frame house to be fully engulfed with fire. Firefighters worked diligently to extinguish the fire but the outcome of the fire resulted in a total loss of the home and the contents inside.

No occupants were home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. At this time the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

All units were back in service at 5:23pm.
