MVA Truck vs. Motorcycle

On September 30, 2014 at 1615 hours Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, Potsdam PD, and County Car 7 were dispatched to a 2 vehicle personal injury MVA, truck vs. motorcycle, at the intersection of Elm and Park Streets. Engine 49 (Crowe) and Rescue 14 (Andrus) responded and were on scene in less than a minute. The driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the bike and suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was treated by members of Potsdam Rescue and transported Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Rescue 30 (J. Bradish) responded to the intersection of Market and Elm Streets and closed Elm Street to traffic and divert it away from the accident scene. Members established a safe work area at the scene and provided traffic control. The motorcycle was removed by Martins Towing. Chief Perry was in command of the 19 members present. Potsdam Fire was back in service at 1654 hours.
