On October 3rd, 2014 at 2359 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and Potsdam PD, were dispatched to a reported car vs. pedestrian MVA in front of 46 Pierrepont Avenue. Engine 49 (Pierce) was enroute at 0001 hours and arrived on scene at 0002 hours. Potsdam PD confirmed that there were 2 victims. Potsdam Rescue transported one victim and Canton Rescue, who had just dropped off a patient at Canton Potsdam Hospital, also responded and transported the other victim. At the request of Potsdam PD, Engine 49 provided scene lighting and traffic control. Rescue 14 (J. Farnsworth) responded to the intersection of Bay Street and Pierrepont Avenue to reroute traffic away from the scene. Members also shut down traffic at the intersection of Pierrepont Avenue and Barrington Drive. Potsdam PD was assisted in their investigation by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office. Potsdam Fire was back in service at 0202 hours.
