The members of the Potsdam Volunteer Fire Dept. extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Ex-Chief of Department George W. Sullivan. George was elected Chief in 1965 and served in that capacity until 1968. George passed away on Friday, January 2nd in Colorado Springs CO. He is survived by his wife Kay, of Lake Placid, and The Villages Fla, Their three sons Patrick(Betty) of Rochester, Michael(Diane) of Colorado Springs, Christopher(Marlies) of Colorado Springs and daughter Ann (Dan) Charlebois of Canton NY. George was predeceased by his daughter Kathlyn Felix. The Sullivans have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Agnes Church in Lake Placid, followed by internment in St. Marys Cemetery, Potsdam at a date to be announced later.
