On January 18, 2016, at approximately 1844 hours, Potsdam Fire was auto dispatched with West Stockholm fire for a report of a chimney fire in an unattached garage at 883 State Highway 11B.

Rescue 14, Engine 80, and TA 100 were out of service immediately as members were out conducting their monthly fire training.

West Stockholm 48-1 (R. White) arrived on scene and reported that the house as a quarter mile back off the road. 48-1 requested Engine 80 to respond back to the house along with TA 100. All other units were to stage at the road until further notice.

Once the scene was assessed 48-1 requested Potsdam Fire R-14 to respond back as equipment was needed off the truck. West Stockholm Fire R-43 was also requested.

The fire was contained to the garage chimney with minimal extension into the roof.
