One Car Motor Vehicle Accident Sends One to Canton-Potsdam Hospital

On July 28, 2016 at approximately 20:26, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue and Car 7 were dispatched to the vicinity of US Highway 11 and the Wright Road for a report of a two car, personal injury accident. Engine 80 and Rescue 14 responded shortly thereafter being dispatched.

Chief Danielle Rose (36-2) arrived on scene to find that only one vehicle was involved in the accident and that the driver of the vehicle had already self-extricated herself from the vehicle. Firefighter J. Farnswroth arrived on scene at the same time as Chief Rose and took over medical care to the patient until Potsdam Rescue arrived on scene. The driver had minor cuts to the face and forearm.

The patient was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Potsdam Rescue.
Engine 80 and Rescue 14 provided traffic control and scene safety for the Sheriff’s Department while they conducted their investigation.

The vehicle was removed from the scene by Johnson’s Towing.
