Members of the Potsdam Fire Department Keep Busy

The members of the Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department kept very busy on September 19, 2016.

Members began their day at SUNY Potsdam at approximately 10:42am for a report of a fuel spill. The spill was contained and SUNY Potsdam Emergency Response Team took over the clean-up process.

15:27- Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and Car 7 were dispatched to a one car motor vehicle accident in the vicinity of 312 Sissonville
Road. The vehicle as occupied by one person, who was out of the vehicle prior to emergency responders arrival. The patient was experiencing difficulty breathing and was treated by Potsdam Rescue.

16:03- Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue and Car 7 were dispatched to 6698 State Highway 56 for a report of a two car motor vehicle accident in the vicinity of TJ Toyota.

While at monthly fire department training, members received a call for a fire alarm at Clarkson University campus Woodstock Building 5. Members responded and found the cause of the alarm was from burnt food.
