One Car Motor Vehicle Accident on the Potsdam-Morley Road

On February 7, 2016 at approximately 1757 hrs, Potsdam Fire and Potsdam Rescue were dispatched to a one car motor vehicle accident in the vicinity of 1769 Potsdam-Morley Road. Caller stated that there was no entrapment but the person was injured and there was airbag deployment.

Engine 80 responded within 4 minutes.

Upon arrival, fire personnel found a Dodge pickup truck that had gone off the road, colliding with a Casella waste dumpster before coming to an abrupt stop when the vehicle struck a tree. The driver of the vehicle was checked out by Potsdam Rescue and released at the scene. Potsdam Fire provided traffic control.

All units were back in service at 1848 hrs.
