Seven members of Potsdam Fire completed the NYS OFPC Water Supply Operations course tonight with a final tanker shuttle evolution. This course is designed to give students the knowledge and tools to improve their water supply operations at various fire incidents. The course, taught by State Fire Instructors Bob Crowe, Ted Schulz, and Steve Sullivan consisted of 27 hours which included some classroom sessions and a number of hands on sessions. Topics covered included tanker shuttles, LDH relays, draft site setup, dump site setup, hydrant testing, and water supply preplanning and evaluation. The crazy spring weather meant that the final tanker shuttle evolution would take place during a late April snow fall. Members completing the course included Chief Danielle Rose, Assistant Chief Mark Bradish, Assistant Chief Jay Bradish, Firefighters Kevin Blain, Brad Andrus, Josh Coughlin, and Justin McGregor.
