Odor of Gas on Waverly Street

On Tuesday May 7th 2019 at 1934 hours, The Potsdam Fire Department was dispatched to 22 Waverly Street for an odor of natural gas. Potsdam Fire Engine 49 (J. Robar) responded at alarm time and arrived at 1938 hours. Assistant Chief Bradish responded and assumed command. Firefighters searched the area, locating the odor coming from around the gas meter of 22 Waverly Street. Assistant Chief Bradish requested St. Lawrence Gas respond to the scene. Potsdam Fire held the scene until St. Lawrence Gas arrived. Potsdam Fire was back in service at 2036 hours.
