Mutual Aid to Hannawa Falls for Trailer Fire

At 2024 hours, Hannawa Falls Fire, Colton Rescue, and County Car 7 were dispatched to respond to 161 Butternut Ridge Road for a reported trailer fire. At 2029 hours, Hannawa Falls 13-2 requested Potsdam Fire to respond to the scene with a tanker and for an engine to set up draft at the bridge in Hannawa Falls. At 2033 hours, TA-100 (S. Corbett) responded and assisted in shuttling water. Shortly after, Engine 48 (Ju. McGregor) responded and established draft across from the Hannawa Falls Fire Station to fill tankers. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the St. Lawrence County Fire Investigation Team. All Potsdam Fire units were in service at 2201 hours.
