Icy Roads Lead to One Car Roll Over on Hatch Road

On Friday, November 29th 2019, at 0804 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 7 were dispatched to the vicinity of 343 Hatch Road for a one car rollover, car on roof. Potsdam Police arrived on scene and advised that the operator was out of the vehicle. At 0809 hours, Engine 80 (S. Corbett) responded as response time was delayed due to the roads being iced over. Shortly after, 36-3 (Dan McGregor) responded.

On scene, firefighters found a car rolled over in the ditch on it's roof. Members provided traffic control while the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's conducted the investigation. Potsdam Town Highway responded and sanded the roads to help improve road conditions. The vehicle was removed by Martins Service Station. Potsdam Fire was in service at 0852 hours.
