On Sunday, December 1st 2019, at 1923 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 7 were dispatched in the vicinity of 132 State Highway 345 for a two car motor vehicle accident with an unknown extent of injuries. People were reported to be out of the vehicles at the time of the call. 36-1 (T. Jerome) responded at the time of alarm. At 1925 hours, Potsdam Fire Engine 49 (R. Crowe) and Rescue 14 (Ju. McGregor) responded and arrived on scene at 1930 hours. Rescue 30 (B. Andrus) responded shortly afterwards.

On scene, two cars were found, one was off the roadway and the other was into the ditch. Firefighters provided lighting and traffic control while the scene was investigated by New York State Police. Two patients were transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Potsdam Rescue. Potsdam Fire units were in service at 2040 hours.
