Car vs. Tree on Main Street |

On Saturday, February 22nd 2020, at 1318 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue were dispatched to respond to the vicinity of 200 Main Street for a personal injury motor vehicle accident. At 1319 hours, Potsdam Fire Engine 49 (M. Maroney) responded and arrived at 1321 hours. 36-2 (M. Bradish) and 36-3 (Dan McGregor) also responded to the scene. Rescue 14 (J. Kozak) responded to Barrington Drive. On scene, it was found that the vehicle had exited to the shoulder of the road and then struck a tree. The operator of the vehicle was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Potsdam Rescue. Potsdam Fire provided traffic control at Barrington Drive and by Collegiate Village. Firefighters used speedy dry to soak up fluids from the vehicle and swept debris from the roadway. Skippy's Towing towed the vehicle away from the scene. The scene was investigated by SUNY Potsdam University Police while Potsdam Police assisted with the investigation. Potsdam Fire was in service at 1410 hours. |
