On Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 3:02 PM, the Potsdam Fire Department was alerted for a structure fire on the River Road. Chief Jerome arrived on scene and advised that it was a mulch fire that had extended into the porch and house. Engine 80 responded at 3:04 PM and arrived shortly later. Firefighters stretched a hand line and were able to extinguished the main body of fire. Firefighters removed some of the house siding, and porch skirting to ensure no further extension. Potsdam Units were back in service at 3:52 PM.
