On Tuesday, March 23rd 2021, at 1403 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 were dispatched behind Clarkson's Riverside Apartments for a report of a large outside fire that had spread into the woods. At the time of alarm, Engine 49 chauffeured by Paid Driver Bob Pierce responded, arriving on scene at 1407 hours. Rescue 30 and Tanker 100 responded afterwards. Firefighters found a fire that had spread into the wooded area behind the apartments. Firefighters pulled 300 foot of 1 3/4' hose and began to extinguish the fire. Potsdam Fire remained on scene for approximately an hour and was back in service at 1504 hours.

Shortly after getting back, they received a landline that a fire had spread to the top of a tree and was burning again. At 1522 hours, Potsdam Fire self dispatched and responded back to the scene. Firefighters used chainsaws and cut the trees down and Hannawa Falls Fire was requested for their mini pumper to responded. The burned area was sprayed down and extinguished by personnel. All Potsdam Fire units were in service at 1623 hours.
