On Friday, June 4th 2021, at 1547 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 were dispatched to a report of a two car motor vehicle accident at 6465 State Highway 56. It was unknown at the time the extent of injuries. At 1553 hours, Engine 49 chauffeured by Career Fire Driver Crowe and Rescue 14 (B. Corbett) responded. It was advised that there was a female subject still inside of the vehicle with a head injury. Potsdam Fire arrived on scene at 1555 hours, and checked the extent of injuries of the patient and then provided traffic control during the incident. The subject was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Potsdam Rescue. Firefighters cleaned debris off the roadway and cleared the scene. Assisting at the scene were the New York State Police, St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office, and Potsdam Police Department. All Potsdam Fire units were back in service at 1639 hours.
