On Friday, June 11th 2021, at 2038 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 were dispatched to the vicinity of 74 Madrid Avenue infront of the Potsdam Humane Society for a report of a one car motor vehicle accident. It was advised a vehicle had struck a telephone pole, and there were unknown injuries. Engine 49 responded , Chauffeured by Paid Driver Bob Pierce and arrived on scene at 2042 hours. On scene, it was found a vehicle had struck a National Grid pole and ripped the electrical entrance off of the Potsdam Humane Society. Fire Department personnel then contacted National Grid and the Potsdam Humane Society. Firefighters performed traffic control while Potsdam Police conducted their investigation and awaited National Grid. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Johnson's Towing. The operator of the vehicle was not injured. At 2200 hours, Potsdam Fire was in service. |
