On Thursday, October 7th 2021, at 0003 hours, Potsdam Fire was requested by Potsdam Police for report of a motor vehicle accident with a car smoking at the intersection of Sandstone Drive and Pine Street. Engine 49, Chauffeured by Paid Driver Mark Maroney, responded at the time of the alarm, and arrived on scene two minutes later to find no smoke or fire. Engine 49 provided scene lighting for the incident. Firefighters on scene provided traffic control. Members used speedy dry to absorb the fluid material on the roadway. The area was swept and the debris were removed from the roadway. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Skippy's Towing. Potsdam Police is conducting the investigation and no injuries were reported. Potsdam Fire was in service at 0106 hours.
