On Monday, October 25th 2021, at 1852 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 were dispatched to a car vs deer with air bag deployment in the vicinity of 743 Old Potsdam Parishville Road. Central Dispatch advised that the patient had hit his head on impact. At 1853 hours, Engine 80 (J. Keleher) staffed with a crew of 4 were enroute and arrived on scene at 1858 hours. It was determined on scene, that the vehicle had actually hit a tree and not a deer. Potsdam Rescue treated the patient for injuries and transported the patient to Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Firefighters on scene conducted traffic control and swept debris from the roadway. The scene was investigated by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Skippy's Towing. Potsdam Fire was in service at 1959 hours. |
