On Tuesday, January 4th, 2022, at 1117 hours, West Stockholm Fire, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 were dispatched to 633 Heath Road for a reported structure fire. West Stockholm's 48-4 arrived on scene and confirmed a working structure fire, and requested Brasher-Winthrop Fire to the scene for manpower and tanker. At 1124 hours, Engine 80 (J. Corbett) and Tanker 100 (J. Keleher) responded and arrived on scene at 1132 hours. Rescue 14 (J. Farnsworth) responded to the scene shortly after. Engine 48 (B. Andrus) responded to the draft site on Heath Road and filled tankers. On scene, firefighters worked with West Stockholm and Brasher-Winthrop firefighters to extinguish the fire. After a few interior attacks, 48-2 requested all interior crews to evacuate the building, due to the floor collapsing. Firefighters performed extensive overhaul of the structure and extinguished hot spots located under the floor and in the ceiling. The fire was investigated by New York State Fire and remains under investigation. Red Cross assisted the subjects who were residing at the address. Potsdam Fire was in service at 1548 hours.
