Car Into Pole on State Highway 11B

On Sunday, January 23rd 2022, at 1248 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 were dispatched to 426 State Highway 11B for a reported car into a pole. At the time of the alarm, 36-3 (Dan McGregor) responded. At 1253 hours, Engine 80 (J. Corbett) and Rescue 14 (B. Corbett) responded and arrived on scene at 1256 hours. 36-3 requested National Grid to the scene for a broken pole. On scene, a Chevy Silverado was found, and had struck a National Grid pole. The operator had exited the vehicle. Firefighters conducted traffic control on State Highway 11B. The operator of the vehicle was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Potsdam Rescue. The scene was investigated by New York State Police and the vehicle was removed from the scene by Johnson's Towing. At 1351 hours, Potsdam Fire was in service.
