The members of the Potsdam Fire Department wish to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Honor Roll member Walter "Butch" Smutz Jr. Butch passed away yesterday, January 25th at his home. He was a 2nd generation member of the Department, serving from June 1970 to July of 1980. Arrangements are with the Seymour Donaldson funeral home. Services will be private. A burial service will be held in the spring.
