The members of the Potsdam Fire Dept. extend their sincere condolences to the family of Honor Roll member Patrick D. "Father Pat"
VerSchneider. Pat passed away on February 2nd, 2022 at the Carthage Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing where he had resided since October 2015. Pat was a member of the Dept. from July 1971 until March 1983. Pat was ordained a Catholic priest in 1969, and served as our Chaplain for many years. He left active ministry in 1974 and continued his education, then served for several years as the St. Lawrence County Fire Coordinator. He then took a job as school counselor for several schools in the state of Maine.

Pat is survived by his sons David of Taiwan, and Daniel and his wife and daughter of Hyattsville MD, and his brother Michael (Karen) of Croghan. He was predeceased by his wife Connie in April 2015.

Services will be held on Saturday February 12th beginning with a 9:15 AM prayer service followed by a 10:00 funeral Mass at St. Stephens Church in Croghan. Burial will be held in the spring
