Mutual Aid to Canton Fire on Meade Road

On Monday, March 14th 2022, at 0803 hours, Canton Fire, Canton Rescue, and County Car 4 were dispatched to 55 Meade Road for a reported structure fire. The initial reports were for a fire in an attached garage. Canton Fire 4-2 requested the Tanker Task Force 1st alarm which moved Potsdam Fire for an engine standby at Canton Fire Station. At 0836 hours, Engine 48 (S. Corbett) checked enroute to Canton Fire Station. Due to the fire making its way into void spaces in a mid-1800's farm house and being stubborn. Potsdam Fire was re-routed from Canton Station and manpower was requested to the scene. Rescue 30 (J. Keleher) and Engine 48 responded to the scene and assisted with extensive overhaul operations until all fire had been extinguished. Potsdam Fire was in service from the call at 1301 hours.
