|Multiple Calls Keep Potsdam Firefighters Busy|

On Tuesday March 22nd, Potsdam Fire remained busy for a few hours as they ran multiple calls. The first call of the day was at 1127 hours for a pump detail at 1 Carol Court. Rescue 30 responded and personnel helped pump a basement out. They were in service from call at 1343 hours.
At 1449 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire in the vicinity of 147 Market Street. At the time of alarm, Engine 49 operated by Paid Driver Bob Crowe responded and arrived on scene at 1452 hours with a working vehicle fire. Firefighters used the 1 3/4" bumper line off of Engine 49 to extinguish the fire. Firefighters also set up traffic control during the incident. No one was reported injured on scene and the vehicle was a total loss.
As Engine 49 was enroute to get fuel, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 were dispatched for a reported motor vehicle accident in the vicinity of 153 Market Street. Engine 49 (Crowe) was enroute and on scene within one minute of dispatch. Firefighters checked for injuries of patients and set up traffic control at the scene. Rescue 14 (M. Jerome) responded and assisted with traffic. Firefighters assisted with cleaning up debris. The patients were transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Potsdam Rescue and the vehicles were removed from the scene. Potsdam Fire was in service at 1634 hours.
Shortly after being back in service, at 1642 hours, West Stockholm Fire, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 were dispatched to the vicinity of 810 State Highway 11B for a reported motor vehicle accident. West Stockholm Engine 88 checked enroute shortly after alarm and 48-1 requested Rescue 14 to respond to the scene. At 1644 hours, Rescue 14 (M. Jerome) responded and arrived at 1653 hours. Firefighters assisted on scene with manpower and traffic control. Patients were transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Potsdam Rescue and Parishville Rescue. Potsdam Fire was in service from alarm at 1759 hours.
