Mutual Aid to Parishville Fire for Structure Fire on Allen Falls Road

On Saturday, February 4th 2023, at 2134 hours, Parishville Fire & Rescue, and County Car 36 were dispatched to a reported structure fire on the Allen Falls Road. At 2141 hours, Parishville Fire requested Potsdam Fire and West Stockholm Fire with tanker and manpower to the scene. Parishville arrived on scene at 2146 hours and 33-1 confirmed a working fire and to notify National Grid as a live power line was down at the time.

At 2144 hours, Potsdam Fire Tanker 100 (S. Corbett) responded. Shortly after, Rescue 14 (J. Keleher) responded with a full interior crew. Rescue 14's interior crew assisted Parishville Fire with extinguishment on scene and overhaul operations. 33-1 additionally requested Engine 80 to the scene for water. Engine 80 (J. Corbett) responded to the scene and and then was placed at a fire hydrant at Parishville Fire Station to fill tankers. Tanker 100 assisted in tanker shuttle operations. Hannawa Falls Fire and Hopkinton Fort Jackson Fire tankers were also requested to assist with shuttling water. The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time. Potsdam Fire was in service at 0118 hours.

At 1020 hours the following day, Potsdam Fire was requested with 2 tankers and manpower back to the scene of a rekindle at 47 Allen Falls Road. Tanker 100 (J. Keleher), Engine 80 (J. Corbett), and Rescue 30 (C. Frost) responded and assisted Parishville Fire and West Stockholm Fire with extinguishing hot spots, and overhaul of the remaining structure. Potsdam Fire was in service at 1232 hours.
