The sound of rotors were in the air as Potsdam Fire provided a landing zone stand by at Clarkson University today. Clarkson has requested the department provide an engine crew for a landing zone standby on their campus as the U.S. Army landed a Boeing CH-47 Chinook Helicopter to transport Clarkson ROTC cadets to Fort Drum for training. Engine 48 stood by along with a crew of fire personnel, ready to provide an immediate response in the event of an emergency at the landing zone.
