Potsdam Fire's new Rescue 14 truck committee has made it's way to Wyoming, Minnesota for their final inspection of Rescue 14. The committee left Sunday to travel to Albany, New York to spend the night where they caught an early flight Monday morning that takes them to Minneapolis St. Paul Airport. From Minneapolis St. Paul Airport they will travel to Wyoming, Minnesota where Rosenbauer Minnesota Plant is located. The committee is spending Monday and Tuesday reviewing the truck to ensure that it has been built to Potsdam Fire's specifications. Rosenbauer personnel will train the committee members on the operation of the new Rescue 14. The committee will drive the truck and inspect every part of the truck. The committee can make changes thru a punch list and can be resolved by Rosenbauer before delivery of the truck.

A final delivery date has not yet been set. After the truck is completed at the factory it will be transported to Garrison Fire & Rescue in Palenville, New York. A trip will be made to Palenville by members with the equipment that is currently on Rescue 14 and the dealer will be able to be place and mount equipment on the new Rescue 14. The new Rescue 14 will then be driven from Palenville by Garrison and delivered to the Potsdam Fire Department. Once delivered, members will be able to start to train and drive the new Rescue 14.
