It is with deep sadness that the Potsdam Fire Department announces the passing of Past Chief Thomas D. McGregor. Past Chief McGregor passed away on September 10, 2023. Tom was an active member of the Department and was in Relief Hose Company #3 along with his sons, Past Chief David McGregor, Assistant Chief Dan McGregor, grandsons Josh McGregor, and Justin McGregor. Tom's son Doug McGregor is also an honor roll member of the department. Tom joined the Department in October of 1975 and served as Chief in 1987, and 1988.

Tom was very active in the Department, attending numerous calls, trainings, and work details. Tom was always willing to help, and share his knowledge and experience. Toms contribution to the Department, and community will be missed.
