On Tuesday, April 4th, 2024 at 1311 hours, West Potsdam Fire, West Potsdam First Responders, Potsdam Rescue and County Car 10 were dispatched to a brush fire heading towards the woods. At 1311 hours, Potsdam Fire Tanker 100 (B. Andrus) responded. 47-1, Justin Pierce, then requested Potsdam Fire with manpower and Canton Fire to the scene with their UTV. Rescue 14 (M. Keleher) responded.

On scene, firefighters found an outside fire that was spreading towards a small shed. The shed had caught fire and was quickly extinguished by firefighters on scene. The outside fire was extinguished by members of West Potsdam, Potsdam, and Canton Fire. 47-1 requested New York State DEC who then responded to the scene. Potsdam Fire was in service at 1459 hours.
