On Monday, April 15th, 2024, Potsdam Fire held their monthly training night. Members began by practicing placing ground ladders at the fire station. Firefighters worked to efficiently lift a 24' ground ladder with refreshing on techniques for raising the ladder. Firefighters also set up their 35' Bangor Ladder and practice raising it and placement. Members worked on practicing and going over the new Rescue 14.

To end the night, members inspected and used our dry hydrants in the district off the Hewitville Road and Boralax Dam off of the River Road. Tanker 100 drafted off the dry hydrant at Hewitville Road. Engine 48 and Engine 80 went to the Boralax Dam and had a small pumper relay. This allowed pump operators to refresh and train on drafting from the dry hydrants.
