Car Fire at Clarkson University

On Thursday, April 18th, 2024 at 2310 hours, Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire in front of Ross House at Clarkson University. At alarm time, Engine 49 Chauffeured by Paid Driver Bob Crowe responded and arrived on scene two minutes later with a confirmed working car fire with no exposures. Firefighters stretched an 1 3/4" hose line off of Engine 49 and began to extinguish the fire. The fire appeared to have started in the engine compartment determined by officials on scene. Potsdam Rescue responded for standby but there were no injuries reported. The vehicle was towed away by Skippy's Towing. Potsdam Fire was in service on April 19th at 0022 hours.
