Today Potsdam Fire Department along with West Stockholm Fire Department, Hannawa Falls Fire Department, West Potsdam Fire Department, and New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control jointly attended Fire Prevention Day at Potsdam Elementary School. Students were educated on what to do in the event of an emergency at home and at school, who to call, and what to tell dispatch. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and watch fire fighters demonstrate gear drills. Finally, students got to look at and sit in a variety of fire apparatus.
