1 Truck Roll-over, Cows on the moooooove

Potsdam Fire was dispatched at 1019 hours for a reported one vehicle roll over involving a cattle trailer. Engine 80 responded within three minutes. Upon arrival, the driver had extricated himself from the overturned truck and the cattle had escaped he still upright trailer. The pickup was on its side and the trailer was across both lanes of travel. Potsdam Rescue assisted with patient care and St. Lawrence County Sheriffs handled the accident investigation and assisted with traffic control. Upon further investigation, the roaming herd of cattle were located at the vicinity of the Morley Potsdam Road and Waite Road intersection. The cause of the accident was weather related with the years first significant snowfall. All units were back in service at 11:46am.
