Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, County Car 10 were dispatched to a 1 car MVA with a car into a telephone pole at 2101 hours. Upon arrival, a blue Chevy Silverado was located along the wood line and the telephone pole was found to be broken off and blocking the road. A large percentage of Potsdam and the surrounding area were without power as a result of the accident. Potsdam Fire and New York State Police directed traffic away from the incident and blocked the roadway from oncoming traffic until National Grid safely cleared the road, installed a new pole, and returned power to the area. All units were back in service at approximately 0015 hours.
